I’m not going to lie, sometimes taking photos really stresses me out. Sometimes I feel like there is just a lot expected of me, as if somehow I am always supposed to produce beautiful images. But that isn’t the case at all, because I mess up. A lot. I’ve noticed that more often than not I get caught up in trying to make everything perfect, rather than not trying to reach perfection at all. It really takes the meaning out of why I started being a photographer in the first place, which was to just to create things that felt right. This shoot was unplanned, effortless, and happened on the side of the road in 15 minutes. And it was everything I have ever wanted. It was free and I like free. So let’s all try to be more like this day. Free, effortless, and absolutely beautiful.
